As the founder of Amergy Solar, Bill has been in the industry since 2009. Under his management, Amergy Solar has become the 16th largest national solar developers with revenue ranging from $90k- $50 million. Bill’s experience and networks have enabled him to take part in projects all over the US including utility scale systems. His connections have facilitated Amergy’s expansion of their commercial division with private funding as well as traditional funds. Prior to Amergy, he worked in the pharmaceutical and financial industries in various management capacities. He began his professional career as a surgeon.
Vanessa Yao is the Chief Operating Officer of Amergy Solar, with over 7 years of experience in the solar energy industry. She is renowned for her ability to successfully implement operational procedures and her passion for sustainable development, making her an essential member of the Amergy executive team. She advocates for an organizational culture that values organization, simplicity, and efficiency, and has played a significant role in solar energy sales, project management, and operations, giving Amergy a competitive advantage in these areas. She is dedicated to driving progress and development in operations.
Jim has been in the solar business for over 17+ years. Prior to that, he was an Executive Vice President for a New York Stock Exchange real estate investment trust (REIT), a shopping center and apartment trust with properties in 41 states. At the trust, he was responsible for acquisitions, leasing and dealing with Wall Street and the banking industry.
His experience in the solar industry lies in the sale of commercial and industrial solar systems. Because of his past experience in dealing with the banking industry, Jim has developed several solar financial models for both private and institutional investors. At Amergy Solar he has overseen these models and utilized his knowledge of solar-specific tax implications to produce sales.
Frank had 20+ years of experience in Operations Management for a major Fortune 500 Company before entering the solar business. In 2010, Frank started out in the industry by selling residential solar systems. He later expanded into selling commercial solar and became the Commercial Sales Manager for one of the largest solar companies in the North East before joining the Amergy Solar team in 2018. To this date, he has put over 20MW of residential and C&I solar systems into operation.
Joshua joins us as Amergy's dynamic Vice President of Construction, boasting 18+ years in solar expertise. His extensive background encompasses solar design, installation, contract management, and operations. Joshua's adept leadership and meticulous attention to detail ensure seamless project oversight. He spearheads design, engineering, construction, and inspection processes with finesse. With his wealth of experience, Joshua drives our success and elevate our construction capabilities to new heights.
